SomnaWorld

SomnaWorld is an open-world world-evolution game built around emergent rules, dynamic world behavior, and a design goal of feeling like a single-player, offline MMO.

Concept

SomnaWorld is built around the idea of a world that evolves through player interaction and internally generated rules rather than feeling static or pre-scripted. It aims to create discovery through systemic behavior, not just authored content.

The design takes inspiration from games like Terraria and Zelda, but the target experience is its own: a world that feels broad, alive, and worth inhabiting as a single player.

Design And Systems Direction

A core idea behind the project is using emergent rules to spawn dynamic world features based on the player-generated world itself. That pushes the game toward deeper world behavior and a more interesting relationship between player action and systemic response.

The project is about more than map size or exploration. It is about building a world that can suggest persistence, scale, and discovery with an offline MMO feeling.
